Blogtober Day 6! If all of my makeup disappeared, which 10 items would I repurchase?

Hello everyone! I remember about a year ago when this video tag was really popular on YouTube. I never really thought too in depth of it, because I didn't have anyone to share it with. Well now I do. I hope you're interested!

We all know I have too much makeup. I like to tell my dad, "At least I'm not on drugs." But that probably isn't the best analogy. I work hard for my money and this is what I choose to spend it on.

If all of my makeup was to one day get up ad disappear there is no way I could repurchase everything, and honestly I don't need to. Of course, I couldn't live without at least a few things so I went through and picked out the 10 items I would go and repurchase immediately.

Foundation - I would only need one foundation, and frankly I wouldn't need a high price one since the drugstore ones have really stepped up there game. I would go and buy the Loreal Magic Bude Liquid Powder which I did a review of yesterday.

Powder - No matter what the situation I need powder. This will probably come as no shock, but I would quickly replace my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. There are plenty of great ones, but this is my tried and true.

Concealer - Hands down, MAC Prolong Wear Concealer needs to be in my life. Can't live without it. Maybe that's dramatic, but it is the best.

Bronzer - I need Bronzer. I need it every day. My choice if "limited edition products weren't an option would be my MAC Soft Sand Bronzer which I use everyday. If I could purchase this because it is limited edition, I would probably choose Nars Laguna. I don't own this product now, but it would be my second choice.

Blush - I guess I really only need 1, even though I would be sad about it, but I would choose MAC Blushbaby. It is a very versatile neutral shade.

Eyebrows - I can't be without my brows. Again, maybe a little dramatic, but they're my babies. I would pick MAC eyeshadow in Espresso hands down. That would be the first item I went to buy when the situation arose.

Eyeshadow - I love my shadows, but I could live without if necessary. I would probably choose my Naked Basics Palette. Again, very neutral and wearable. I'd miss my MAC, but I could definitely survive.

Mascara - My baby for the last few months has been Maybelline The Rocket. I like the look I get from this mascara the best lately. Really, any drugstore mascara is cool with me, but my choice would be The Rocket.

Eyeliner - I want a felt tip liquid liner. Right now I'm using Jordana Fabuliner, but if it was gone, I'd probably go back to Eyeko. It really is the best, but the drugstore ones are just as good so I don't repurchase. Ehh, I'm in decisive, but just as long as I have one.

Lips - You might have noticed I'm not big on lips and lip colors. Either way, my lips get chapped. I would need a good balm of some sort to survive the tough times. I would choose my Nivea Lip Butter. Out of everything I have or tried this one does a great job at moisturizing. We all need soft lips!

So there we go guys, I covered all of the major areas.

Blogtober Day 24! DIY Remove Black Stains from Hardwood Floors

This blog is coming to you by accident, of course. I don't know if I've mentioned it much on this blog, but I have two pitbulls. I know, a lot to handle, and one of them is a puppy. She is horrible sometimes, but I can't help but love her. Our whole house is hardwood floors, which I love! With my two dogs, if the happen to have an accident it's really easy to clean up...or so I thought.  We have had a large living room rug down for about 6 months now. Over the weekend we decided to take it outside and air it out and do a little "Fall Cleaning". Low and behold underneath the rug were huge dark black spots on the hardwood. I immediately jumped on Pinterest to see what to do. It turns out dogs urine causes the wood to turn black (who knew?). So I found a solution that I'm really excited to share with you.  Peroxide! Awesome, I had plenty on hand and immediately started to try it out. At first I used a paint brush to apply it to the specific areas.  Almo

Personal Planner Setup

I have been using a planner for as long as I can remember. My little OCD self needs something to keep me grounded and on track. About 3 years ago I discovered Erin Condren as well as the planner community on social media (if you are a planner person check them out, it is such a positive and supportive group of people). If you're not familiar, the Erin Condren Life Planner is an A5 size planner (7" by 9") and is a thick planner. For me, this type of planner is not convenient for every day use so this planner stays at home on my desk and is used mostly for my creative side, not functionality. This brings me to my personal size planner, I use a Kate Spade Wellesley planner which can be bought at the Kate Spade Outlet stores (these outlets will ship to you so call around if you don't live close to one and are interested). Currently as pictured above I am using the red version which was re-released this Summer, and I also have a black version which is always in stock.

DIY IKEA Kitchen Shelf

It is finally complete! I have been working on decorating this bad boy for a few weeks now and I'm in love! Thanks to my dear husband we were able to turn this cheap IKEA shelving unit into an adorable farmhouse style kitchen shelf pretty easily. See below for our step by step!    This is the IKEA Mulig Shelving Unit which is $59.99 for the largest size. This measures 47 1/4x13 3/8x63 3/4 "    We purchased a 3/4" piece of plywood at Home Depot in which we got cut in store for each shelf. These measure 46 1/2" by 13"    Also at a Home Depot we purchased a tube of Loctite Power Grip and a small can of Golden Pecan stain . This stain matches a few other items in our house so they would all look cohesive.    Once home, let the staining begin.      After one coat of stain was dry we used the Loctite to place the plywood on the shelves. We used sand bags to weigh down e
