Blogtober Day 31! Happy Halloween! October Beauty Favorites

It is finally here! Halloween has graced us with it's presence. I know I didn't post any Halloween related blogs during this month, and unfortunately this post isn't any different. It isn't really easy to do Halloween style posts on a blog. Maybe one day I'll gather up the courage to make a real video for you guys!

Blogtober Day 30! The Princess Tag

This is another tag that I have been watching on YouTube for a while now, and I'm not sure who created this one, but it's interesting. I am going to share which high end makeup items feel worth it to me. If I could have an unlimited amount of money to purchase one item for every category, what would I choose. Here we go:             Foundation: Hands down, Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation. I believe this retails for $42, and it really is worth it. Wonderful coverage.       Concealer: Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer which retails for $28. This stuff doesn't compare to any other product I have ever tried. Very worth the splurge.  Powder: My favorite powder changes every so often, my skin is so oily I have to keep tryin new things. The MAC Studio Fix is my favorite at the moment and it is $29.       Bronzer: As you might be able to tell, I love Nars Cosmetics, but some products there prices are just too much for what you really get. Nars Laguna Bronzer is one of my all time fa

Blogtober Day 29! Monday Questionnaire on a Tuesday

1.)Mood? -Worn out. My second day on my new job, while I'm trying to keep a clean house, clean laundry, and everyone happy.  2.) Can you say the ABC's backwards without stumbling? -No, I can do it but it takes some thinking time.  3.) What is the closest green object to you? -The grass. It's a cold and rainy day, but I'm sitting on my screened in porch drinking coffee.         4.) Current nail polish: -My at home Sally Hansen French Manicure set. Not the best, but I love the look of French Manicures!  5.) What is your favorite song at the moment? -Same as last week, I don't have one.  I rarely have a favorite.           6.) Current outfit: -My new Khaki's from New York and Company, a Royal Blue sweater from Target and leopard flats.  7.) What coverage of foundation do you prefer most: light, medium, full, or none at all? -I guess a medium to full coverage look on most days. Weekends I don't get too crazy, but my work days I prefer something that is going to

Blogtober Day 28! No Monday Questionnaire?

Im such a slacker! I know. Today I started my new job, and I'm not making any excuses, but I'm exhausted. I had all of the questions ready and planned, but I forgot to take all of my pictures! It's now almost 11pm and I'm sitting on the couch yelling at myself for forgetting, but I was extremely busy. Please forgive me?! We will have a questionnaire tomorrow, I promise!

Blogtober Day 27! My Makeup Wish List

Of course, the Holiday season is approaching fast which means that all of the high end brands are coming out with there limited edition products and sets. I do usually go a little crazy during this time of year for the pure fact that sometimes everyone deserves to treat themselves, also it's my Birthday coming soon :) The Sephora Friends and Family Sale is also right around the corner starting November 7th, so here's a few items that are on my list for this year.         The Nars Blush Palette this year is pretty much beautiful. The name is One Night Stand, a little raunchy, but everything from Nars is. I believe 3 of the shades are limited edition and then you have Laguna and Orgasm. This is $65 from Sephora.com, which is a little steep, but the blushes are .02 oz away from being full size which would cost $29 each. It really is a great deal.     The Tarte Off the Cuff Amazonian Clay Blush Palette is another palette that really gets me excited. The Tarte blushes are some of my

Blogtober Day 26! My First Time Tag

Alright guys, get your minds out of the gutter! This Tag has been going around YouTube for a while now, and I believe it was created by SprinkleofGlitter. This is another one of the tags that I think really helps you get to know someone, so here we go! Please feel free to leave your answers below, I'd love to here your answers.  FIRST tweet?  -I don't tweet! I know how lame am I? I'm sorry. Maybe one day.  FIRST person you subscribed to on youtube? -I believe it was Allthatglitters21. I had no idea that there was a YouTube community, and I heard someone talking about Shane Dawson, I went to look up some of his videos and I saw Elle's "What's in my Purse?" Video. I was hooked, and here we are today. Obsessed!  FIRST Facebook profile pic? -My first profile picture was from Mexico when I was Zip Lining! Great memories.  Do you still talk to your FIRST love? -I do not. I believe that is an important part of life. Falling in love, growing apart, and moving on.

Blogtober Day 25! TGIF

I did not plan today very well! I was busy this morning cleaning and washing clothes, because I didn't want to spend my whole weekend doing it.  I do have great news though, and I figured it might deserve a post all on its own...I GOT THE JOB!  If you saw in my Monday Questionnaire my weekly goal was my mood were all kind of based off of my job interview this week, and I found at on Wednesday that I got it, and I start on Monday!  It's really going to be great! I know you guys probably don't know much about my current job, other than the fact that it's an office job, but I do work Monday - Friday 2nd shift. The shift is 2pm - 10pm which means my evenings are always accounted for. The new position is in the same office, different specific job, and the hours are 10am - 6pm! I'm very excited to finally get to spend evenings at home with my boyfriend, pets, and friends!  I know this wasn't an amazingly interesting post, but this is my life and I wanted to share my g

Blogtober Day 24! DIY Remove Black Stains from Hardwood Floors

This blog is coming to you by accident, of course. I don't know if I've mentioned it much on this blog, but I have two pitbulls. I know, a lot to handle, and one of them is a puppy. She is horrible sometimes, but I can't help but love her. Our whole house is hardwood floors, which I love! With my two dogs, if the happen to have an accident it's really easy to clean up...or so I thought.  We have had a large living room rug down for about 6 months now. Over the weekend we decided to take it outside and air it out and do a little "Fall Cleaning". Low and behold underneath the rug were huge dark black spots on the hardwood. I immediately jumped on Pinterest to see what to do. It turns out dogs urine causes the wood to turn black (who knew?). So I found a solution that I'm really excited to share with you.  Peroxide! Awesome, I had plenty on hand and immediately started to try it out. At first I used a paint brush to apply it to the specific areas.  Almo

Blogtober Day 23! Colors of the Rainbow Tag

This was way tougher than I planned on it being! Indigo and violet? Who knows? Ha. This is a tag that was going around the YouTube community over the summer and I thought it was fun! So here are my choices for the colors of the rainbow.       Red - MAC Eyeshadow in Cranberry. I love this color! I went a long time just looking at this color into palette without really knowing how to use it. Maybe since it's Fall I've been using this color at least once a week!  Orange - Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Toasted. This blush is the perfect coral. My all time favorite!       Yellow(ish) - My Real Techniques face brushes. These are some of the best brushes that exist (a little dramatic?).                  Green - Smashbox Photo Fonish Primer. This is the blemish control version that I received as a sample from Ulta. It does a great job and for someone who is oily like me, primer is a necessity.               Blue - Clean and Clear Morning Burst Hydrating Gel Moisturizer. I've been u

Blogtober Day 22! What's in my everyday makeup drawer?

I try to update my main makeup drawer pretty often since I do have so much. Sometimes digging through all of the drawers can be overwhelming so I try to change out these products frequently so it is more likely the things are grabbed for.  So let's get started!             On the far left side I have a three compartment bin that I got from Target. In this I have most of my samples. I've learned that if these aren't close by, they don't get reached for. I've seperated them by the most reached for in the front, with the more random products towards the bag. Concealers, eye and face primers, as well as mascaras are always used by me!        In the front left side of my middle storage container (also from Target, just a larger size with 6 small compartments) I hold all of my face and concealer products. At the moment, these products haven't changed too much. I have my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation, my Jouer Matte Moisture Tint, and also my Loreal Mag

Blogtober Day 21! Monday Questionnaire October 21, 2013

1.) Mood: -Determined. I have a job interview one day this week with my current job that I want very badly. I'm not giving up!              2.) Are you planning on going to see Carrie?  -I do want to see this movie, but I don't know that I'll actually go see it. Movies are expensive! I feel robbed. It's definitely a RedBox choice though.  3.) What is your favorite song at the moment? -I really don't think I have one. I'm pretty easy going with songs and music genres.      4.) Current nail polish: -My new Sally Hansen Gold Roses. I did write a blog about this polish if you're interested.  5.) If you could only use one makeup product, what would it be? -Mascara! I don't even care what brand, but you can't go without it!              6.) Current outfit: -Black slacks (I have no idea where these are from), a black top from Target, a Black and silver cardigan, and my loafers from Shoe Carnival.      7.) Are you good at keeping in touch with friends and fa

Blogtober Day 20! My First Use of The Original Beauty Blender

After all of these months listening to people rave about the Beauty Blender I finally fell off the wagon and decided to try it out. I always felt like the price was really steep for what you were getting, but people just kept raving so I felt like I was really missing something amazing.             Here is my clean face, with only moisturizer and primer. Let's get started. The Beauty Blender is made to be used damp. When it's wet it almost doubles in size. Kind of amazing.     I was very surprised by how soft this product really is. Although, I still don't really see what all of the fuss is about. The finished look is very flattering. It's a clean smooth surface once finished, but I still don't really know if I agree with the price point of this product for the results. I definitely will keep trying out this product to see if my opinion changes. Stay tuned!  -Kady
