FOTD! June 16, 2014

Oh hello there everyone and happy Monday! Monday means FOTD, and guess what guys! I made sure to change up a few products for you guys to keep you on your toes. Let's jump on in!

For face products, I used my new(ish) Loreal True Match foundation. New love! My concealer choice for a while now is the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Brightener. My powder friend lately is the Sonia Kashuk Bare Minimum Pressed powder.

My Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit has not stopped being used for weeks now, and today I decided to use Fawn for my contour and Banana as my under eye setting powder. I decided to change up my highlighter and I used Wet N Wild Reserve Your Cabana. This product is really talked about, and now I know for good reason. My new blush for today is the blush from Kelly Osbourne's MAC collection in Cheeky Bugger (I have a full post coming on this product).

My eyebrows today are Anastasia Brow Powder in Auburn and the Clear Brow to set. I ALWAYS use Maybelline Fit Me concealer to clean them up. My base is ALWAYS MAC Painterly Paint Pot, nothing else compares. The Naked 3 was my eyeshadow choices for today and I used with Dust on my lid, Burnout in my crease, Buzz for the outer corner, and Strange for my highlight. I've been going for a more neutral look so I used the Jordana Fabuliner in brown as my eyeliner. And to finish it off we have Covergirl Clump Crusher for mascara.

What do ya think? Beautiful? What did you guys wear today?

Blogtober Day 24! DIY Remove Black Stains from Hardwood Floors

This blog is coming to you by accident, of course. I don't know if I've mentioned it much on this blog, but I have two pitbulls. I know, a lot to handle, and one of them is a puppy. She is horrible sometimes, but I can't help but love her. Our whole house is hardwood floors, which I love! With my two dogs, if the happen to have an accident it's really easy to clean up...or so I thought.  We have had a large living room rug down for about 6 months now. Over the weekend we decided to take it outside and air it out and do a little "Fall Cleaning". Low and behold underneath the rug were huge dark black spots on the hardwood. I immediately jumped on Pinterest to see what to do. It turns out dogs urine causes the wood to turn black (who knew?). So I found a solution that I'm really excited to share with you.  Peroxide! Awesome, I had plenty on hand and immediately started to try it out. At first I used a paint brush to apply it to the specific areas.  Almo...

Personal Planner Setup

I have been using a planner for as long as I can remember. My little OCD self needs something to keep me grounded and on track. About 3 years ago I discovered Erin Condren as well as the planner community on social media (if you are a planner person check them out, it is such a positive and supportive group of people). If you're not familiar, the Erin Condren Life Planner is an A5 size planner (7" by 9") and is a thick planner. For me, this type of planner is not convenient for every day use so this planner stays at home on my desk and is used mostly for my creative side, not functionality. This brings me to my personal size planner, I use a Kate Spade Wellesley planner which can be bought at the Kate Spade Outlet stores (these outlets will ship to you so call around if you don't live close to one and are interested). Currently as pictured above I am using the red version which was re-released this Summer, and I also have a black version which is always in stock....

Why I'm No Longer Purchasing from Erin Condren

I'm fully aware that some people might not agree with me on this topic, but I really need to share my experiences with Erin Condren as well as my opinions on why I do not plan on purchasing from this brand any longer.  Customer Service Good customer service is what makes a company, and unfortunately that is NOT Erin Condren's top priority. My personal experience with the customer service has been half and half. The policies and responses to customers is never consistent which makes me believe they make do not have any rules and guidelines for dealing with customer issues. In my opinion a company should have guidelines for handling issues and complaints.  Quality Control I have placed a total of 25 orders with Erin Condren over the past 5 years. Within the last 2 years 4 out of 5 orders have arrived either incorrect, flawed, or completely wrong. Again, only in my opinion, the way that this company lets orders leave there facility tells me that they don't...
