FOTD! June 30, 2014

Happy Monday everyone! Another week has begun, and July is literally tomorrow! What the hell?! Where has this year gone. They didn't lie when they said as you get older time goes so much faster! So before I get depressed about my up coming birthday let's jump into my makeup choices for today.

Top 20 Under $20

Who doesn't love some awesome beauty products that are a good deal? I'm going to say, hopefully no one! I've decided to raid my stash of makeup and pick the overall winners from the drugstore. I have to say, quite a lot of my holy grail products are from drugstore brands, and I want to let you all in on my little secret. So here we go!

FOTD! June 4, 2014

It's not Monday, but I'm still going to give you a weekly FOTD post. I realized Monday morning when I went to take my pictures, that I was wearing exactly what I wore last week! Creatures of habit right? I knew that wasn't going to be enjoyable, so I decided to post pone it by a blog post, and give you guys something a little more enjoyable. Now here we are, FOTD time. It was light today, I guess I was extra tired :)

FACE OF THE DAY

As you might have seen in a post about two weeks ago, I enjoy doing a face of the day post every once in a while. I have posted quite a few photos on Instagram and people seem to enjoy them. Usually, on a weekly basis I like to change up my face makeup and try something new, although, I've made it a point to wear different blush everyday! People have really seemed to enjoy these post on other social networks, so I would like to give an update about once a week on my face of the day. Let me know if you're interested! First, I always start off with a moisturizer and primer. Both of the items pictured above were mentioned in my June Favorites post (you can check that out here if interested ) The Benefit Total Moisture Facial Cream and Benefit Pore Fessional. I realized over this last month, the Benefit Total Moisture Facial Cream really isn't working for me in the mornings. This product is a little more oily, and I prefer to use it at night, lesson learned. Benefit Pore Fe...

June Beauty Empties and Mini Reviews

As you can probably see from the picture above, I was really into trying out my samples this month. I have a huge box full of beauty samples that I have gotten from making online orders, Birchbox, Ipsy, and Sephora. I'm bad about just tossing them in my sample box and never looking back. I realized I have some pretty good stuff in there, I just need to make an effort, so that's what I did. First is my Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer (the only one I did not take a separate picture of, sorry). I purchased this last summer and did not get much use out of it. This summer when it started getting warmer I knew I wasn't going to get much sun, so I decided to give it another shot. I love this product! It does not do much as a self tanner. It might give you a slight amount of color, but nothing noticeable. Although, as a moisturizer this stuff is amazing! It's the perfect formula to use in the mornings before applying your makeup, because it sinks into the skin and doe...

June Beauty Favorites

I know you probably hear this all of the time, but June flew by! That's probably because I have a vacation coming up at the end of July that I'm trying to save money for, and time is flying! This month I didn't really experiment much with my normal day to day face makeup. I just wasn't feeling adventurous, and to top that off it's over 100 degrees where I live most days, and the humidity is outrageous! So...when I find something that's working and not making me look like an oily mess, I try to stick to that for a while and hope for the best during my long days. Now, speaking of not being an oily mess, I have found my holy grail setting powder. I don't know why it took me so long to give this product a try. Especially considering it's $3! The Rimmel Stay Matte Powder is absolutely wonderful. I have never tried anything that compares to this powder. I was a firm believer in MAC Mineralized Skin Finish Natural, and this is better! On the packaging, this...
