DIY! Gold Refrigerator Letter Magnets

Gold makes everything better, right guys? And as Trinidad James says, "All Gold Everything". Today I was finally able to complete a long awaited craft for myself. I've been wanting to do this for a whole, but I wasn't able to find the letter magnets anywhere! Finally, it's time to make this small dream come true.

Finally after almost giving up, I found these letter magnets on eBay for about $2.50 each, and I ordered two sets. Of course, they were from China so the waiting game continued, but luckily they've arrived. Each set contains one of each letter, so I knew I needed at least two sets.

I placed the letters on an old rug, and separated them so I would be able to get the sides of each letter as well. Two quick coats later and some drying time they were done. So simple and easy.

I feel like these being gold makes them look so much classier. Not as childish as before, but can still hold the great purpose of being my quick reminder.

And of course scaring my boyfriend by quoting Amityville Horror as a surprise when he gets home from work!

Total cost was about $8 including the spray paint, which I already had lying around the house from other crafts. Simple and easy, and now we have a

quick and easy memo board and activity!

Blogtober Day 24! DIY Remove Black Stains from Hardwood Floors

This blog is coming to you by accident, of course. I don't know if I've mentioned it much on this blog, but I have two pitbulls. I know, a lot to handle, and one of them is a puppy. She is horrible sometimes, but I can't help but love her. Our whole house is hardwood floors, which I love! Personal Planner Setup

I have been using a planner for as long as I can remember. My little OCD self needs something to keep me grounded and on track. About 3 years ago I discovered Erin Condren as well as the planner community on social media (if you are a planner person check them out, it is such a positive and supportive group of people). If you're not familiar, the Erin Condren Life Planner is an A5 size planner (7" by 9") and is a thick planner. For me, this type of planner is not convenient for every day use so this planner stays at home on my desk and is used mostly for my creative side, not functionality. This brings me to my personal size planner, I use a Kate Spade Wellesley planner which can be bought at the Kate Spade Outlet stores (these outlets will ship to you so call around if you don't live close to one and are interested). Currently as pictured above I am using the red version which was re-released this Summer, and I also have a black version which is always in stock....

Why I'm No Longer Purchasing from Erin Condren

I'm fully aware that some people might not agree with me on this topic, but I really need to share my experiences with Erin Condren as well as my opinions on why I do not plan on purchasing from this brand any longer. Customer Service Good customer service is what makes a company, and unfortunately that is NOT Erin Condren's top priority. My personal experience with the customer service has been half and half. The policies and responses to customers is never consistent which makes me believe they make do not have any rules and guidelines for dealing with customer issues. In my opinion a company should have guidelines for handling issues and complaints. Quality Control I have placed a total of 25 orders with Erin Condren over the past 5 years. Within the last 2 years 4 out of 5 orders have arrived either incorrect, flawed, or completely wrong. Again, only in my opinion, the way that this company lets orders leave there facility tells me that they don't...
