REVIEW! New Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation

Here we go again, with another "matte" face product that I absolutely had to try. You guys probably know by now, anything claiming to be Matte, will go home with me for a test. When I saw this product in Walgreens last week, there were no questions of whether I would try it or not, especially since the Stay Matte Powder is my number one go to product!

I picked this up from Walgreens for $5.49. This is a 1fl oz product, so the price is very reasonable, in my opinion. I have not heard anyone talking about this
Product yet, so I was a little sceptical.

Per the Rimmel website there are 8 available shades. My local Walgreens was not organized, so I wasn't sure which color was the lightest. I went with number 091 (the numbers don't make any sense with this product either) Light Ivory. Luckily, it is a perfect match for me.

The product is a thicker consistency, but I still wouldn't consider a mousse type of consistency. It is very easy to blend, as well as it has great coverage.

So, I bought the Makeup Forever Mat Velvet + foundation the same weekend as I purchased this product, and I have not even Trieste Makeup Forever. Does that tell you anything about this foundation? I'm even contimplating returning the other!

The coverage and the staying power of this is wonderful. I have been using this for about a week now and I really think this will make it onto my holy grail product list. For the price, this foundation is very great quality. Matte? Absolutely. On a normal day I would blot at least three times, when wearing this foundation I only blot once! A must try! Go get it now!

Blogtober Day 24! DIY Remove Black Stains from Hardwood Floors

This blog is coming to you by accident, of course. I don't know if I've mentioned it much on this blog, but I have two pitbulls. I know, a lot to handle, and one of them is a puppy. She is horrible sometimes, but I can't help but love her. Our whole house is hardwood floors, which I love! With my two dogs, if the happen to have an accident it's really easy to clean up...or so I thought.  We have had a large living room rug down for about 6 months now. Over the weekend we decided to take it outside and air it out and do a little "Fall Cleaning". Low and behold underneath the rug were huge dark black spots on the hardwood. I immediately jumped on Pinterest to see what to do. It turns out dogs urine causes the wood to turn black (who knew?). So I found a solution that I'm really excited to share with you.  Peroxide! Awesome, I had plenty on hand and immediately started to try it out. At first I used a paint brush to apply it to the specific areas.  Almo...

Personal Planner Setup

I have been using a planner for as long as I can remember. My little OCD self needs something to keep me grounded and on track. About 3 years ago I discovered Erin Condren as well as the planner community on social media (if you are a planner person check them out, it is such a positive and supportive group of people). If you're not familiar, the Erin Condren Life Planner is an A5 size planner (7" by 9") and is a thick planner. For me, this type of planner is not convenient for every day use so this planner stays at home on my desk and is used mostly for my creative side, not functionality. This brings me to my personal size planner, I use a Kate Spade Wellesley planner which can be bought at the Kate Spade Outlet stores (these outlets will ship to you so call around if you don't live close to one and are interested). Currently as pictured above I am using the red version which was re-released this Summer, and I also have a black version which is always in stock....

Why I'm No Longer Purchasing from Erin Condren

I'm fully aware that some people might not agree with me on this topic, but I really need to share my experiences with Erin Condren as well as my opinions on why I do not plan on purchasing from this brand any longer.  Customer Service Good customer service is what makes a company, and unfortunately that is NOT Erin Condren's top priority. My personal experience with the customer service has been half and half. The policies and responses to customers is never consistent which makes me believe they make do not have any rules and guidelines for dealing with customer issues. In my opinion a company should have guidelines for handling issues and complaints.  Quality Control I have placed a total of 25 orders with Erin Condren over the past 5 years. Within the last 2 years 4 out of 5 orders have arrived either incorrect, flawed, or completely wrong. Again, only in my opinion, the way that this company lets orders leave there facility tells me that they don't...
