Blogtober Day 12! Pur Minerals Eyeshadow Quad

About a month ago my mom gave me a big box of samples that she had accumulated over some time and this was one of those things.

I have never tried anything by this brand so I didn't really know what to expect. One thing I noticed, these colors aren't something I would normally grab for so it was interesting to me.

I can say I have never worn an orange eyeshadow!

This quad is called "Empress". The color names from top left to bottom right are Silk, Desert Gold, Mink, and Gypsy Pink. They can call it what the want, but that color is orange not pink.

Now with all of that said, these colors work great together! I would have never picked up this palette on my own, but now that I own it, I really like it! I will definitely get use out of this palette, and the quality seems really great too. I'm surprised since I have never heard much about this brand, but good job Pur Minerals!

Blogtober Day 24! DIY Remove Black Stains from Hardwood Floors

This blog is coming to you by accident, of course. I don't know if I've mentioned it much on this blog, but I have two pitbulls. I know, a lot to handle, and one of them is a puppy. She is horrible sometimes, but I can't help but love her. Our whole house is hardwood floors, which I love! With my two dogs, if the happen to have an accident it's really easy to clean up...or so I thought. We have had a large living room rug down for about 6 months now. Over the weekend we decided to take it outside and air it out and do a little "Fall Cleaning". Low and behold underneath the rug were huge dark black spots on the hardwood. Personal Planner Setup

I have been using a planner for as long as I can remember. My little OCD self needs something to keep me grounded and on track. About 3 years ago I discovered Erin Condren as well as the planner community on social media (if you are a planner person check them out, it is such a positive and supportive group of people). If you're not familiar, the Erin Condren Life Planner is an A5 size planner (7" by 9") and is a thick planner. For me, this type of planner is not convenient for every day use so this planner stays at home on my desk and is used mostly for my creative side, not functionality. This brings me to my personal size planner, I use a Kate Spade Wellesley planner which can be bought at the Kate Spade Outlet stores (these outlets will ship to you so call around if you don't live close to one and are interested). Currently as pictured above I am using the red version which was re-released this Summer, and I also have a black version which is always in stock....

Why I'm No Longer Purchasing from Erin Condren

I'm fully aware that some people might not agree with me on this topic, but I really need to share my experiences with Erin Condren as well as my opinions on why I do not plan on purchasing from this brand any longer. Customer Service Good customer service is what makes a company, and unfortunately that is NOT Erin Condren's top priority. My personal experience with the customer service has been half and half. The policies and responses to customers is never consistent which makes me believe they make do not have any rules and guidelines for dealing with customer issues. In my opinion a company should have guidelines for handling issues and complaints. Quality Control I have placed a total of 25 orders with Erin Condren over the past 5 years. Within the last 2 years 4 out of 5 orders have arrived either incorrect, flawed, or completely wrong. Again, only in my opinion, the way that this company lets orders leave there facility tells me that they don't...
