Blogtober 4! Face of the Day

Another day of makeup! Of course, it's my favorite part of the day. I'm no artist, but this is my way to be creative.

First and foremost, my favorite from September my Jouer Matte Moisture Tint. I have never received as many compliments as I do when I wear this product. Compliments make us girls feel great, so I keep on wearing it :)

Before applying any powder I use my MAC Radiant Rose Highlighter. My post from yesterday explains how I apply this product, but I'm really starting to like it.

For setting powders I've been using my NYX Stay Matte but not Flat Powder Foundation. I got this on a really good sale and kind of forgot about it, but it is really great. For my highlighter setting powder I like using my MAC Lightscapade, it's very flattering when used correctly. Bronzer, nothing new here, my MAC Soft Sand Bronzer is an all time favorite. I did not picture my blush, of course I forget something, but I chose my Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso. My eyes were neutral so I went a little more vibrant for blush.

My eyebrows are always the same, MAC Cork and Espresso mixed together. I also always use the same brow gel which is my Anastasia Brow Gel. My favorite part of my makeup routine is my eyebrows! I just started reaching for a new eyeshadow base which is my MAC Paint Pot in Bare Study. It feels much softer and creamier then Painterly but still does a great job. I try to change up my eyeshadows every so often since I have so many and today my Naked Palette won! I used Sin on my lid, Naked in my crease, Buck in the outer corner, and Virgin as my highlight. A newer product of mine is my Jordana Fabuliner and I chose the brown today for a more subtle look. And last but not least, my Rocket Mascara by Maybelline. Always a winner in my book.

I like doing these posts because sometimes it is nice to see what people pair together. I hope you all enjoyed! Please let me know if there are any particular posts you'd like to see for Blogober!

Blogtober Day 24! DIY Remove Black Stains from Hardwood Floors

This blog is coming to you by accident, of course. I don't know if I've mentioned it much on this blog, but I have two pitbulls. I know, a lot to handle, and one of them is a puppy. She is horrible sometimes, but I can't help but love her. Our whole house is hardwood floors, which I love! With my two dogs, if the happen to have an accident it's really easy to clean up...or so I thought.  We have had a large living room rug down for about 6 months now. Over the weekend we decided to take it outside and air it out and do a little "Fall Cleaning". Low and behold underneath the rug were huge dark black spots on the hardwood. I immediately jumped on Pinterest to see what to do. It turns out dogs urine causes the wood to turn black (who knew?). So I found a solution that I'm really excited to share with you.  Peroxide! Awesome, I had plenty on hand and immediately started to try it out. At first I used a paint brush to apply it to the specific areas.  Almo...

Personal Planner Setup

I have been using a planner for as long as I can remember. My little OCD self needs something to keep me grounded and on track. About 3 years ago I discovered Erin Condren as well as the planner community on social media (if you are a planner person check them out, it is such a positive and supportive group of people). If you're not familiar, the Erin Condren Life Planner is an A5 size planner (7" by 9") and is a thick planner. For me, this type of planner is not convenient for every day use so this planner stays at home on my desk and is used mostly for my creative side, not functionality. This brings me to my personal size planner, I use a Kate Spade Wellesley planner which can be bought at the Kate Spade Outlet stores (these outlets will ship to you so call around if you don't live close to one and are interested). Currently as pictured above I am using the red version which was re-released this Summer, and I also have a black version which is always in stock....

Why I'm No Longer Purchasing from Erin Condren

I'm fully aware that some people might not agree with me on this topic, but I really need to share my experiences with Erin Condren as well as my opinions on why I do not plan on purchasing from this brand any longer.  Customer Service Good customer service is what makes a company, and unfortunately that is NOT Erin Condren's top priority. My personal experience with the customer service has been half and half. The policies and responses to customers is never consistent which makes me believe they make do not have any rules and guidelines for dealing with customer issues. In my opinion a company should have guidelines for handling issues and complaints.  Quality Control I have placed a total of 25 orders with Erin Condren over the past 5 years. Within the last 2 years 4 out of 5 orders have arrived either incorrect, flawed, or completely wrong. Again, only in my opinion, the way that this company lets orders leave there facility tells me that they don't...
