The Do's and Do Not's of Ordering Cosmetics on eBay

I am a long time purchaser and seller of cosmetics on eBay. I'm no professional, but over the years I've learned a few things from my experiences and I thought I might share some with you. It's not dangerous, I know a lot of people might disagree, but if you do it correctly you really can get some great deals.  • Check the sellers reviews. For every item for sale you can look at the seller. And their reviews, if there are any that are negative read through them and research a little. If you see any that say the item was wrong or used DO NOT BUY.  • Read all of the descriptions carefully. People like put a few negative things in their small print. Look for anything suspicious, and steer clear if it just doesn't sound right to you.  • Don't buy anything that is said to be a tester. These items can be used and maybe even empty. They are significantly cheaper, but it's not worth it to get an unsanitary item.  • Look for the items that are "Buy Now" instead...

My "Weekend" Face of the Day

Am I the only one that doesn't wear a full face of makeup on the weekends? I strongly doubt it! It's so nice to not have to worry about everything and actually have a "day off".  I didn't plan for this to be an all MAC look it just happened to work out that way.  I used my MAC Prolongwear concealer for spot concealing. I chose not to wear foundation today because it just didnt feel necessary and on top of tht I used myAC Studio Fox powder foundation. I don't find that this gives good coverage, but it does give me a fairly even look over the concealer. There are 3 things that I try not to leave the house without, and those are Bronzer, eyebrows, and mascara. My eyebrow products are the same as always, MAC Espresso and Cork Eyeshadows. My all time favorite brow gel by Anastasia is another must have me. My Bronzer for the moment is MAC Soft Sand from the Temperature Rising Collection. It's subtle but still gives my face a little dimension. Last but not least,...

First Impressions MAC Radiant Rose Highlighter

After many videos watching Marissa Lace rave about this product, and hearing Jaclyn Hill mention it more then once, I figured it was worth a shot. I purchased this online from the MAC Cosmetics website and it was $25. This is a liquid highlighter product for the cheekbones, or really anywhere if choice.  I used this product in replacement of my undereye concealer and honestly this was not a good idea on my part. I was looking for an undereye brightener that would cover and brighten up this area. I believe I used this product incorrectly and I wasn't really happy with the outcome.  I will not count this product out, I just think I went about it a little wrong. I was trying to replace a product (concealer) that I do need. I don't sleep very well and I naturally have dark under eyes. I will definitely keep trying out this product and find the right way to wear it.  First impression? Not great, but I really do think it was a user error. I will give you a full update once I fi...

5 Drugstore Makeup Items that Compete with High End Makeup

It seems like every day new drugstore makeup is being released and there is just no way to keep up. When I was beginning my makeup obsession, I thought I needed to try everything! I quickly learned that was not the case. I ended up spending a lot of money that wasn't necessary, and frankly all of the products aren't really that great. I decided to go through my collection and pull out the drugstore products that I really feel hold up to the standard and really compare to some high end items. These are items that I feel don't require spending high dollar price for.       This item can't come as a surprise to anyone, considering I talk about it in almost every blog post. My Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. I didn't try this product for a long time because I was using my MAC Mineralized Skinfinish Natural for my setting powder. Now please don't get me wrong, I love the MAC Mineralized Skinfinishes, but for the price of the Rimmel Powder you really can't bea...

Monday Questionnaire September 9, 2013

I am so excited for Fall! Am I the only one?  Before I started this blog I used Tumblr quite frequently and I used to love to follow Amarixe's blog with her Monday Questionnaire and every once in a while, I would post my answers on Tumblr. I really enjoyed doing it, so I'm going to borrow an old questionnaire from Amarixe and give it a shot! I would love to make this a weekly acurrance, please let me know if you'd like to keep seeing these!            1. Mood:  -Frazzled. I had to get up at 6 this morning to take my boyfriend to work. When I got home I couldn't go back to sleep and layer there for a while. I finally fell asleep with no alarm and woke up with just enough time to run out the door for work.  2. What are you looking forward to most today?  -Under the Dome! I love this show! Usually Mondays are the first day of my work week and knowing that I get to watch this when I get home, makes my day much easier! Sad right, I need a lif...

Face of the day!

Working on a Sunday, wah! I know I'm lucky to have a job and I'm also lucky to have most weekends off so I can't complain too much, but still wah!  My foundation choice is my all time favorite Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua in shade B10. My concealers are my everyday picks, MAC Prolong Wear in NC20 for any blemishes and Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer for under the eyes. I can't decide if my Nars Concealer is going to be counted for my project 10 pan or not, I love it, but I don't know that I'll be repurchasing right away. I changed up my setting powder for one that will be counted towards my project and that is my NYX Stay Matte but not Flat powder foundation.  My two everything contour and Bronzer products rarely change, and that is my Sonia Kashuk Cream Bronzer and MAC Soft Sand Bronzer. I use the cream before my powder and then go back in with Soft Sand for any additional color I might need. My blush and highlighter choices weren't MAC Skinfinish in Redhead. I mi...
