I'm not sure if I've ever expressed to you guys how much I love decorating with mason jars. Not only are they adorable, but they're also very cheap and very versatile. I was digging through some drawers last week, and found these fake flowers that I bought for a previous project and never used. I decided the spice them up, and get them out of the drawer. So here is my solution to my flowers in the drawer.
Supplies needed:
-Mason Jar
-Spray Paint
-Painters Tape
-Acrylic Flowers
I taped the jar with two rows of painters tape. No thicker than the tape itself, which makes this a lot easier. After apying the tape, I spray painted the jar, and the lid with the gold paint pictured above, which I purchased from Wal Mart. I knew I didn't want to have to put acrylic water or anything in the bottom of the jar so I made sure to paint the bottom of the jar.
I painted two coats and let dry over night. It was probably good to go within a hour or two, but it was a late night decision and I was headed to bed. The next day, I removed the tape and inserted the flowers. I placed this on my coffee table to add a little height to my decorations.
Simple and easy! What do you think?
